The Academy’s Founder and lead author is David Rowlands, B.Ec.(Hons), G.D.B.A., F.A.C.H.I.
David is a leading informatician with over 30 years’ experience in the health industry. He is currently based in New York, but has worked extensively in health informatics in Australia and Asia, in particular on the development of national information infrastructures. He has chaired international working groups based in Europe and the USA on electronic health records. He draws upon an extensive network of global leaders in health care, health services and informatics.
David’s experience in health extends well beyond informatics. He has held executive roles in health service management, planning and performance management, strategic development and corporate services in large and diverse health service delivery agencies.
